A traditional Basque dessert, our pre-cut Gâteau Basque is made in Bonloc in the heart of the Basque Country.
This classic dessert comes from a family recipe passed down through generations and has attracted our chefs with its unique history and its cultural richness. Therefore, since 1955, Boncolac has done everything it can to perpetuate this  emblematic and regional tradition.
Our brand skilfully prepares this soft, yet crunchy gateau, in keeping with tradition and using its unique expertise.
Round in shape and golden in colour, our Gâteau Basque, pre-cut into 12 servings, is made with a shortcrust pastry, filled with a delicious, bitter almond flavour crème pâtissière.
The traditional lines scored on the surface of the product in a diamond pattern, for which it is renowned, give it an authentic look. The perfect hold of the cake and its pre-cut servings makes plating up easy. An ideal option for catering professionals!

HOW TO PREPARE
IN THE OVEN
Preheat your oven to 180 °C.
Take the tart out of the freezer and remove all packaging.
Place it on a baking tray and heat it for 10 minutes.
Allow to stand for 20 minutes before serving.
